St. John’s is small Anglican Church at the heart of the village of Egglescliffe near Eaglescliffe and Yarm Stockton-on-Tees. There has been a church on the site since the 12th Century. The building is old but extremely beautiful but this comes with high costs of maintenance. A few facts and figures: The current running cost for St. John’s , Egglescliffe are £66,657 per year that totals £185 per day. The church relies solely on donations for maintenance costs and to enable us to continue God’s work serving our community. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has heavily impacted our usual giving and reduced our opportunity to run our normal fundraising events. So every donation we receive is very important and special to us no matter how small.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7)
